The American Heart Association's Basic Life Support or BLS certification is the standard in healthcare provider level CPR. First time classes and renewals are available in Philadelphia and mobile sessions for surrounding counties; we'll bring the class to you. JD4CPR, the BLS specialist, we have classes available 7 days a week. Our BLS classes are best for hospital staff, nursing students, dental professionals and all allied health practitioners. We offer BLS renewal classes for experienced providers who hold a valid BLS card. We provide training in high quality team resuscitation, AED use, and choking for adults, children, and infants. All JD4CPR classes utilize American Heart Association guidelines.
BLS is required for healthcare professionals and clinical staff, examples include Doctors, Nurses and nursing students, hospital staff who have direct care roles, and allied health professionals. Healthcare employers require their staff to have BLS certification, not CPR.
CPR is designed for people who require certification in their industry (outside of healthcare), lay rescuers, or the general public. Some professional roles that require CPR certification are childcare professionals, personal trainers, and some construction modalities.
If your role involves patient care, BLS-not general CPR training- is the required credential. Contact us if you need help selecting the right course*
